A major milestone was achieved with the successful launch of the AASHA: Inclusive Livelihoods and Economic Empowerment Project in Dhanusha District on 12 May 2026. The launch event brought together representatives from provincial and local governments, development stakeholders, Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), and community leaders, demonstrating strong commitment toward inclusive and sustainable development. The event was graced by the Honorable Speaker of the Madhesh Provincial Assembly, Ram Ashish Yadav, highlighting high-level government ownership and support for the initiative. Through this milestone, LIFE Nepal established a strong foundation for implementing interventions that promote sustainable livelihoods, economic empowerment, disability inclusion, climate resilience, and social protection for persons with disabilities, at-risk individuals, and ultra-poor households across four municipalities of Dhanusha District. The launch also strengthened collaboration among local governments, community institutions, and key stakeholders, creating momentum for inclusive governance and long-term socio-economic transformation in Madhesh Province. The major highlights:
