Flood Preparedness and Response Program

LIFE Nepal implemented “Flood Preparedness and Response Programme” with the technical and financial assistance from UNICEF. The project aimed to strengthen the disaster resilience capacity of youth and local governments in relation to response flood survivors.

Challenges

Major Achievements:
-4 Palikas developed flood preparedness and response plan
-134 youth trained on search & rescue and first-aid
-Search and rescue materials supported to 4 palikas

Sahidnagar Municipality and Janaknandani Rural Municipality of Dhanusha district as well as Rajpur and Ishanth Municipalities of Rautahat district in Madhesh Pradesh
