Mental Health and Psycho-social Support Programme

Madhesh Province in Nepal faces significant challenges related to child marriage, violent discipline, and the compounded impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The region, characterized by diverse cultural, economic, and social dynamics, has seen an urgent need for humanitarian intervention to address the vulnerabilities faced by girls and boys. Therefore, LIFE Nepal implemented “Mental Health and Psycho-social Support ” programme with the technical assistance from TPO and financial support from UNICEF. This Humanitarian Program underscores the need for targeted psychosocial support to address the specific vulnerabilities of girls and boys at risk of child marriage and violent discipline in Madhesh Province, while also considering the extended MHPSS response necessary in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The program aims to bring about positive and sustainable changes, fostering resilience, protecting rights, and contributing to the overall well-being of the community.
